Two outsiders claim the back patio of a Vermont coffee shop. When a shy teenage employee becomes part of their daily conversations, an unexpected bond forms. With humor and aching honesty, The Aliens is a quietly powerful play about connection, art, and the feeling of being from another planet.

Nik Doner got sober in 2014, found a box of writings and home videos from when he was drinking and diagnosed with testicular cancer, and put them into this humorous and poignant autobiographical “slightly-solo” show about mistakes, memories, and second chances through the blurry lens of the addiction that blacked out many of his nights.
This multimedia devised piece, workshopped and performed twice in 2017, is an irreverent, ironic, and layered look at addiction, mortality, and memory. Telling his story through humor, video, and choreographed dance, Nik dives into what he thinks he remembers about his past, asking whether or not you really know yourself, when you spent so much of your life lying.
Directed by Paul Budraitis
Ray, fifty-six, has a new identity, assured that his past can't find him. Una, twenty-seven, has arrived unannounced at his office. Guilt, rage, and raw emotions run high as they recollect the passionate relationship they had fifteen years ago, when she was twelve and he was forty.
Blackbird is a story about living with the consequences of abuse and trauma. Is it possible deconstruct a shared past and reclaim your life?
2017 saw the world premiere of 2 separate runs of Nik Doner’s autobiographical comedy-memoir solo-ish show Cuddling with Strippers.

"Seattle actor/performer Nik Doner has charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent to spare and his autobiographical almost solo piece CUDDLING WITH STRIPPERS crackles with electricity and raw honesty."
“A groundbreaking piece.”
"I don’t know how I feel about it, but I definitely can’t stop thinking about it.”
"Irreverent & funny, also gut-churning.”

"I honestly don't want to tell you much more as you'll want it to let you unfold when you see it, and you do want to see it." - Broadway World
